Complete set of VKBO (VKPO)
VKBO (set of all-season basic gear) is the new field uniform of the Russian army. The complete set includes 18 items of equipment. Most of the positions can be combined for optimization of uniforms under temperature conditions ranging from -40 °C to +15 °C., VKBO is equipment suitable for use in cold, wind, rain, warm weather. VKBO equipment is a system consisting of eight levels.
Clothing VKBO
Level 1
1-st level of equipment in the VKBO is a moisture-removing underwear, short or long. The difference between the short and the long version is due to the temperature mode of use. Short version is a classic t – shirt with short sleeves and shorts, long version-thermal underwear. The first level of clothing is worn on the naked body. The main purpose of this layer is to regulate the humidity of the body due to air exchange in combination with the absorption and removal of moisture. The first layer of VKBO is made of 100% polyester, which is typical for work wear. 100% polyester provides a high level of protection against weather, wear-resistant and easy to care for.

Level 2
2-st level – underwear fleece In the VKBO is a basic layer in cold weather. As well as the first level, underwear provides high-quality air exchange, and also removal of moisture. The composition of the material from which the layer is sewn: 93% – polyester, 7% - elastane.
Level 3
3-st level - this fleece jacket in VKBO, which is not only a great addition to the outfit, but also practical everyday clothing. The surface with the NAP keeps the body warm. A distinctive feature of the first three levels is air exchange, fast drying, and elasticity. These properties are very important for the lower layers of equipment, as they are a guarantee of your comfort.
Level 4
4-st level presents the jacket-a windbreaker, VKBO. This kit uses camouflage colors "EMR Summer", common in the Armed forces of the Russian Federation. Jacket protects from wind and light rain. The texture of the fabric from which the jacket is made (98% –polyamide, 2% – elastane), provides comfort during active physical activity.
Level 5
5-st level kit – it's a suit jacket, VKBO. Ergonomic cut of the suit will protect you from the elements, including water repellent. The suit is designed for the needs of the army, but the potential of its capabilities appreciated and outdoor enthusiasts (hunters, tourists). The kit is easy to care for: it is easy to clean from dirt and dries quickly.
Level 6
6-st level – the suit will protect you also In the VKBO – made from 100% polyamide with membrane and is suitable for more severe conditions than the previous layers of clothing. Sizing seams and additional reinforcement fabric on the elbows, knees and back provides increased wear resistance to the suit.
Level 7
The vest is insulated with the VKBO is the 7-st level of equipment and goes well with other levels of clothing. The vest is made of 100% polyamide fabric with a membrane that provides thermal insulation, water resistance and moisture protection.
Level 8
8-st level is the costume VKBO winter, or just warm suit. Suit is suitable for low temperatures, 100% polyamide fabric protects against moisture, snow and wind. As in level 7, the suit has a high-quality insulation that does not absorb moisture and retains heat.
In addition to the previously mentioned elements, the outfit includes a summer suit. This suit was highly appreciated by fans of outdoor activities, including airsoft: the suit is the main element in the modeling of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation.
The composition of the fabric from which sewed summer
suit: 65% – cotton, 35% – polyester. High cotton content makes the suit comfortable during extended wear. A distinctive feature of the material is the use of rip-stop technology (reinforced thread), which increases the durability and strength. As befits a suit for everyday army needs, it is reinforced in the areas of elbows, knees and back. The fabric is treated with an anti-mosquito agent that repels insects. For a summer suit, a matching shoes and cap.
Head protection
For weather protection of the throat and lower face includes adjustable neck tube with drawstring; for protection from head – cap. The kit also includes a cap-mask, it is the same Balaclava in the VKBO. Balaclava is made of a material consisting of 70% wool, 30% polyamide. Cap-mask protects the head from bad weather, it can be used as a Balaclava. For insulated suit has a cap-«Ushanka» VKBO of 100% polyamide.
Hand protection
For hand protection are gloves wool, mittens insulated VKBO, which are attached to the sleeves, insulated suit, the eighth layer. With mittens, you can remove the insulation and use them in the season.

Features of VKBO
On the upper levels of the equipment are the sticky surface of the Velcro, designed for attachment of chevrons and insignia.
